September 2018: number of unemployed at the labour offices: 179123, of which 70589 are long term unemployed, unemployment rate 6.5% (2.6% long term unemployment)

Highest unemployment: Rimavská Sobota 20.3% (12.1%), Revúca 19.5% (10.1%), Kežmarok 16.8% (8.3%), Rožňava 16.3% (9.0%), Vranov nad Topľou 15.5% (7.4%)

Lowest unemployment:: Bratislava V 2.5%, Trenčín 2.6%, Galanta 2.7%, Hlohovec 2.7%, Trnava 2.8%
