December 2018: number of unemployed at the labour offices: 169802, of which 66448 are long term unemployed, unemployment rate 6.2% (2.4% long term unemployment)

Highest unemployment: Rimavská Sobota 19.5% (11.7%), Revúca 17.8% (9.5%), Kežmarok 16.9% (8.2%), Rožňava 15.9% (8.7%), Vranov nad Topľou 15.2% (7.4%)

Lowest unemployment:: Galanta 2.3%, Bratislava V 2.3%, Trenčín 2.3%, Hlohovec 2.4%, Trnava 2.5%
